W.E.C.A.N. Book Club - May 15, 2025
If there’s one word that encapsulates our May Book Club meeting, it’s magical.
From deep discussions about moon phases and self-compassion to laughter over favorite podcasts, this session was a beautiful reminder of why we come together each month — to share, uplift, and grow.
Let's take a moment to reflect on some of the standout moments from this month’s gathering.
Opening Up with Honest Conversations
We kicked off our meeting by catching up with one another, a ritual that never fails to deepen our bond as a community.
Kirstie shared a heartfelt story about a recent dog bite incident (ouch!) and how she leaned on cannabis products, like Michelle’s incredible trifecta salve and suppositories, to manage her pain.
Her positive outlook, even amidst the challenge, reminded us all that, as she says, “Life is as good as you make it.”
From there, the conversation flowed naturally into the many ways cannabis has empowered our health journeys. Members shared powerful testimonials about cannabis suppositories, specifically highlighting their benefits for vaginal health, chronic pain, and as a tool for healing during hospice care. Michelle’s insights (and enthusiasm!) lit up the discussion, inspiring Dayna to explore incorporating these remedies into her Wise Woman Revival retreat.
Diving into Self-Compassion
When the topic of self-help books came up, the room practically buzzed.
Dayna began with her recommendations of Tosha Silver’s "It’s Not Your Money" and Marianne Williamson’s "The Law of Divine Compensation" as transformational reads on spirituality and money.
Kirstie passionately chimed in with her love for Glennon Doyle’s “Untamed” (“life-changing!”), Martha Beck’s “Finding Your North Star” and Brené Brown’s “The Gifts of Imperfection”.
The enthusiasm about these books was contagious! Each recommendation was a loving nudge toward self-reflection and self-love.
It wasn’t just the books that stole the show, though.
We explored oracle decks like “The Starseed Oracle” and “Sacred Rebels Oracle”, with Kirstie sharing her “go-to” for moon magic, Yasmin Boland’s “Moonology”.
“The Sacred Sea Oracle” also earned a special mention for its deeply intuitive guidance (and its dreamy Pisces energy!).
Collaboration Is Key
One thing that makes W.E.C.A.N. so special is how seamlessly we collaborate. From planning upcoming events to sharing resources, there was no shortage of ideas and inspiration flying around.
Michelle and Jamie shared their excitement about hosting the next Miracle Makers Club meeting, complete with a dreamy sound bath.
Meanwhile, Dayna and Michelle brainstormed how to incorporate cannabis into the womb-healing ceremony at the Wise Women Revival retreat.
The energy was electric, and you could feel the magic of these collaborations taking root.
Podcasts, Audiobooks, and More!
And what would Book Club be without some excellent recommendations for podcasts and audiobooks?
Audiobooks narrated by female authors took the spotlight, with members gushing over fantasy series and self-help gems. Popular favorites like Gabby Bernstein and Mel Robbins earned their fair share of praise for their soul-stirring podcasts, as did Elizabeth Gilbert.
Looking Ahead
The meeting closed on a high note, with plans for next month already in motion. We’re looking forward to Ashley Manta joining us for a special “Masturbation May” session (yes, you read that right!) and a guest appearance in June by the wonderful Dr. Pepper Hernandez.
Who’s excited? (Spoiler alert: we ALL are.)
Before saying our goodbyes, Kirstie reminded us of the importance of celebrating the connections we’ve built.
W.E.C.A.N. is a space where women empower women, where reflection goes hand in hand with action, and where every voice matters.
Final Thoughts
May’s Book Club left us feeling inspired, energized, and above all, grateful.
From engaging conversations about healing to personal stories of resilience, each member brought their unique magic to the table.
Whether we’re flipping through oracle decks, bookmarking podcast episodes, or navigating life’s ups and downs with cannabis, one thing is clear — we’re in this together, uplifting each other with every turn of the page.
Until next month, keep shining your unique light.
And remember, as Kirstie says, “Life truly is as good as we make it.”
